The Stations of the Cross are a traditional devotion on Fridays and during Lent. While doing the round of the stations we are no longer in our church or home, we are walking the Via Dolerosa in 1st century Jerusalem at the events that we call collectively the Passion of our Saviour.
Usually consisting of 14 reflections or “Stations”, concluding with the burial of Jesus. some more contemporary ones add a final one, the Resurrection. The collection offered here are a mix of styles, some suited to praying alone, others the ideal form of a family prayer for Friday. All can help us connect with the saving events of the first Good Friday that resulted in the redemption of all of us
